I race my stock Legend in Solo II slalom and it does pretty well, about middle of the pack in 'G' stock class.

I recently "inherited" a 1987 Legend 4 door, after my mother upgraded to a 1997 Lexus ES300. I
am using it as a daily driver so I don't have to subject my Z28 (the toy) to traffic and wet winter weather.
This particular car has had some mechanical trouble over the years, but it's still a very nice car, and I have
yet to hear a 6 cylinder engine that sounds as cool as this one when winding up past 4000 RPM.

This is my second Legend after wrecking an 1989 Legend L with 58K on it (sob!).
After two years of a 1995 Mercury Cougar ownership and the needs to find a cheaper car, I found
an 1988 Legend with a 5spd, 113K. It's not perfect but it was an excellent find. I am not sure
if I will become as obsessive as the rest of the Legend owners on this page, but I do realize
these are some of the best cars Honda ever made.

This car has a very interesting personality, kinda like my dog (springer spaniel). Added Slick 50, seems to
work, no more starting it twice on very cold days. I can still beat my friend in his brand new Accord easily. (tip: you own
an Acura, you need a radar detector) A radar detector can be very easily soldered into the overhead map lights in a G1 if
you hate wires like me. Run the cord out through the rear view mirrir slot, and clip the detector to that little wing that
sticks out on the visor. It looks waay better.

I have had the amps changed from watts to Pounds Per Sq in the subs are hiting at something like 17 tons it is
carzy (it has enough bass to set every car alarm off that I go by. I have two Kicker component sets in my car with 4 1'in
tweetersas well. There are many many many options but I am not going into them.

Awesome car. It is in mint condition on the outside, but it seems like every first gen coupe I have

Still have it in mint condition, just had it repainted to give it that brand new shine to it. Its only been
in 2 accidents which one was recently, only fender damage to the front right, replaced entire front bumper assembly and frame
panel with the signal lights, looks like its never been hit now. In terms of performance, it really picks easily up whenever
I need to pass the beamer or mercedes next to me =) I change the oils no more than every 5000 km. Only has 130,000km on it,
only problem was the clicking noises of the hydrolic lifters, already replaced 12 of the, soon to replace the last 12 (was this
a flaw with this year of Honda engines?). And transmission only had to be rebuilt once so far, only the 2nd gear. I enjoy it
most in the hot summer nights with the windows and moon roof all wide open cruising da streets with the gino beatz pumpin from
its BOSE system =)

This car speeds up to 130 mph with no problem, I am afraid to go faster and damage
my motor since its my only car. But it's best car I have ever driven. I cant wait to own a 1991 or
newer model. I am 25 and for the rest of my life i will be loyal to japanese cars especially
Acura. Dont get me wrong America USE to produce some good cars until the late 1980's. They should
be ashamed that most stock cars can beat a Mustang.

Never had any faults with the car, now 250k km (150k miles) except the anti-lock brakes system has been
an endless money pit, have spent several thousand dollars replacing basically every part since 80,000 miles,
through a Honda dealership. I now drive around with the light permanently on and no ALB.
