I've always wanted a car that was a little different than the others. Since there isn't many Honda
Legends on the road Down under this was a perfect opportunity to Finish off with something truly unique.
This car has been through some transitions in my 2 year ownership, from stock appearance, to a "low
rider" to what it is today, but even though I always say "thats it" I seem to find something else to
modify.

Bought an 89 coupe L 5 speed at an Auction for $12,500. It had 60k miles (that was in June of 93). The oil
pump went out at 233,000 miles and unfortunately I lost the engine too. I dropped an engine from a '90 in
for $1,300. It's running like a top again. Great car! I drive 120 miles a day and don't think I could have
chosen a better car for the money.

I bought a 1986 Acura Legend, with 286,000 miles. I didn't expect it to get through the winter. It is
not May, and I love the car, it is running like a new velicle still! The body is a bit rusty, as
Minnesota cars tend to get after 12 years. But the engine is sweet!

I was the original owner of this vehicle and just recently bought the car back from my father. I original
sold the car to my father with 13k miles on it. I just bought it back for a second car with 218k miles. It

I am the second owner on this car, and when I bought it the mileage was at 34k last spring
1998. I traded my first true love an '88 GTI for the Legend and only 10K. A true cream puff.
Loaded for that year. I feel spoiled in the damm thing, and I still like the lines on the
earlier coupes expecially the fender flairs.

This is a great site. I always come here to look at what other Legend owners have done to
their cars and get opinions on good/bad brands. My Legend has been good to me for the 8 months
that I have owned it (considering I had to replace her radiator). I think they should make
Legends faster, but rumor has it in 2003, the Legend is coming back with a V8!
